How We Rate

We aggregate data from multiple sources, including our customer reviews, rates, Public Utility Commission statistics, JD Power ratings, Better Business Bureau, and surveys.

Think Energy, a Texas-based electricity provider, was founded in 2011 as part of GDF SUEZ Energy North America. In 2015, it became part of ENGIE following a corporate rebranding and was named "Think Energy." Energywell purchased the ENGIE Retail / Think Energy retail business from Engie in 2022. The company offers fixed-rate electricity plans to residential and small business customers in deregulated markets across Texas and Deregulated States across the US.

The Think brand has been active in Texas for a number of years. Under Energywell ownership the company has expanded its marketing efforts and is now offering competitve rates, a good mix of terms and pretty good rates.

Think is worth consideration. Parent company, Energywell, is a very good operator with a long history of operating successful energy companies throughout the US.

Think Energy has received mixed reviews across different states. And importantly - the company changed hands in 2023 to Energywell. Lots of 5 star Trust Pilot reviews about 66% are 5 star - so not 90% like some companies.
